Forget Black Fridays or Cyber Mondays or Tuesday Night In Texas or whatever other marketing ploys they’ve got in store for us this year! Starting right now all of the remaining quantities of the 100% one-of-a-kind cut-out paper puppets are on SALE at 50% off! And they will stay that way until they are all gone. Available right here.
I made about 200 of these guys over the past while and now only have around 20 or so left, including these ones pictured and a few more that I just added. Act now! Or wait! Think about it over Turkey. The choice is yours. Makes a great gift for all your loved ones or yourself. Happy Thanksgiving!

Just got a message from the operators at the Bear Flag Museum in Sacramento and they’ve added my Tiger version to their collection!
Perhaps add one (or something else) to your collection: http://www.etsy.com/shop/mattleines
Please join me and the 6 other folks who’ve been hard at work on a surprise new (ad)venture opening Thursday Sept. 27 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I am pleased to announce Beginnings, a new store front gallery located at 110 Meserole Ave. right off the Nassau G stop. We’ll be kicking everything off with a 29 person group show of a wide variety of works. Below is the piece I’m including. Lots of stuff not previously seen in New York, and lots of very affordable work. See you tomorrow and every month thereafter.

These two pieces will be shown at the season opening group show at Guerrero Gallery in San Francisco this Saturday, September 8. The top one is called Rick and the bottom is called Scott, because even though they bare no resemblance they remind me of the Steiner Bros. if they both had Sting’s haircut. I think it’s the colorful singlets they would wear.

And that’s just what I did. This is a version of Pablo Picasso’s Harlequin from 1915 for a show called Permanent Record. All of the works in the show, curated by Jordin Isip and Edward del Rosario, are “covers” of paintings from MOMA’s permanent collection. If you are in New York this Thursday, July 12th come by the opening at Nacy Margolis Gallery in Chelsea or sometime in the next three weeks!
It’s supposed to reach 100°F in New York today. That is HOT! You would look HOT sporting this cool Tee, especially if it was on sale, right? For an unspecified small window of time use coupon code ‘HOTHOTHOT’ to save 20% on all orders in my online store. Act now and SAVE!
WHOA!! Brand new SLOTH cutout paper dolls. Nope not the lovable deformity from Goonies. The kind that lives in trees. Just in time (hopefully) for Valentines Day or any day really. Go ahead and ask around. If you polled all the girls around what their favorite, cutest animal is they wouldn’t say puppy or kitten or even hedgehog. Nope, girls will unanimously respond, “SLOTH!” Just ask Veronica Mars! Now you can get your girl, a girl, yourself, your anybody this awesome brand new SLOTH. Limited quantities available (unless I make more.) OH, this just in…Guys are down with sloths too, so this is truly a unisexual gift. Go on, get a whole forest full. Available right here.

With the holidays now behind us I have updated and added many new items to my Etsy shop. A nice selection of remaining paper cutouts and a limited quantity of one of the flags I made for my 2008 show The Righteous Age ( as seen above, except for some reason it’s uploading a little strangely). Please feel free to share this information, and if you so choose to make a purchase I hope you enjoy having an item as much as I’ve enjoyed making them.
